A Associação de críticos americanos responsável pelo Critics’ Choice Awards divulgou no domingo (8/12) os nomes dos filmes, séries e artistas indicados à sua 25ª edição, com grande destaque para “O Irlandês”. O longa mafioso de Martin Scorsese recebeu 14 indicações, liderando a lista de prêmios da crítica.
Além de disputar a categoria de Melhor Filme de ano, “O Irlandês” rendeu indicações para Scorsese como Melhor Direção e para a tríade de astros veteranos de seu elenco, composta por Robert De Niro, Al Pacino e Joe Pesci – o primeiro como Melhor Ator e os demais como Coadjuvantes.
O segundo filme com mais indicações é “Era Uma Vez em… Hollywood”, de Quentin Tarantino, que disputa 12 prêmios, seguido por “Adoráveis Mulheres”, de Greta Gerwig, com 9.
Outros destaques são “1917”, “História de um Casamento” (empatados com 8 indicações), “Coringa”, “Jojo Rabbit” e o sul-coreano “Parasita” (que receberam 7, cada).
Assim como o Globo de Ouro, o Critics’ Choice também premia os melhores da televisão. E, entre as atrações televisivas, os títulos mais prestigiados foram a minissérie “Olhos que Condenam” (When They See Us), com 6 indicações, o drama “This Is Us” e a comédia “Schitt’s Creek”, ambos com 5.
Ao todo, a Netflix recebeu 61 indicações, graças à combinação de categorias de cinema e TV (por sinal, com o filme e a série mais nomeados), quase o dobro da HBO, que ficou em 2º lugar, com 33 citações entre os lançamentos para a televisão.
A cerimônia de premiação do Critics Choice Award vai acontecer em 12 de janeiro nos Estados Unidos.
