A adaptação do romance de Charles Dickens concorre a 11 prêmios, incluindo Melhor Filme, Direção, Roteiro, Ator (Dev Patel), Ator e Atriz Coadjuvantes (Hugh Laurie e Tilda Swinton). Logo atrás aparece o drama musical “Wild Rose”, de Tom Harper (“The Aeronauts”), com 10 nomeações. Mas é “Judy”, de Rupert Goold (“A História Verdadeira”), para todos os efeitos uma produção inglesa de baixo orçamento, o filme mais oscarizável da relação, apesar de ter obtida apenas 5 indicações.
