A principal premiação do cinema independente britânico, conhecida pela sigla BIFA (British Independent Film Awards), anunciou os indicados a sua edição deste ano.
Destaque da lista, a comédia “The Personal History of David Copperfield”, de Armando Iannucci (criador da série “Veep”), é o filme com mais indicações. A adaptação do romance de Charles Dickens concorre a 11 prêmios, incluindo Melhor Filme, Direção, Roteiro, Ator (Dev Patel), Ator e Atriz Coadjuvantes (Hugh Laurie e Tilda Swinton).
Logo atrás aparece o drama musical “Wild Rose”, de Tom Harper (“The Aeronauts”), com 10 nomeações. Mas é “Judy”, de Rupert Goold (“A História Verdadeira”), para todos os efeitos uma produção inglesa de baixo orçamento, o filme mais oscarizável da relação, apesar de ter obtida apenas 5 indicações. Renee Zellwegger é favoritíssima ao prêmio de Melhor Atriz por seu retrato de Judy Garland.
A 22ª cerimônia do BIFA vai acontecer em 1 de dezembro em Londres.
