A Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas dos Estados Unidos entrega na noite desta segunda-feira (12/9) os prêmios Emmys, principal premiação da indústria americana de televisão e streaming.
A cerimônia acontece no Microsoft Theater, em Los Angeles, com transmissão no Brasil pelo canal pago TNT a partir das 21h do horário de Brasília. Apesar dos prêmios mais esperados estarem concentrados neste evento, a lista de categorias é tão grande que o Emmy é dividido em três noites.
Os troféus de categorias técnicas, animações, documentários, especiais de variedades e reality shows já foram, inclusive, entregues na semana passada, quando “Euphoria” e “White Lotus”, da HBO, e “Stranger Things”, da Netflix se destacaram. Cada uma dessas séries levou cinco prêmios, mesma quantidade vencida pela série documental “The Beatles: Get Back”, da Disney+, e o especial “Adele: One Night Only”, da CBS, que não disputam mais troféus.
O fenômeno sul-coreano “Round 6”, da Netflix, apareceu em seguida, com quatro vitórias, inclusive de atuação para Lee You-mi, que viveu Ji-yeong, a jogadora 240, e se tornou a primeira artista sul-coreana a vencer o Emmy de Melhor Atriz Convidada de Série de Drama.
Há grande expectativa sobre o desempenho de “Round 6” nesta noite, que já fez História como a primeira produção em língua não inglesa indicada na categoria de Melhor Série de Drama. A atração sul-coreana da Netflix é uma das que soma o maior número de indicações, disputando ainda 8 prêmios nesta noite.
Outras produções com grande quantidade de indicações são “Succession” com 12, “White Lotus” com 11, “Only Murders in the Building” com 10, “Dopesick” com 9 e “Ted Lasso” com 8.
A cerimônia será comandada pelo ator Keenan Thompson, ex-integrante do humorístico “Saturday Night Live”.
