A principal premiação da TV britânica, BAFTA TV Awards, consagrou nesta sexta-feira (31/7) “Chernobyl” como Melhor Minissérie do ano, além de reconhecer seu principal intérprete, Jared Harris, como o Melhor Ator Dramático.
Os dois troféus se somam a sete prêmios de categorias técnicas, entregues há duas semanas na cerimônia BAFTA TV Craft, numa totalização que levou o canal pago Sky, parceiro da HBO na produção, a comemorar “Chernobyl” como a produção mais vitoriosa de todos os tempos no BAFTA. Nenhuma atração tinha conquistado nove troféus numa mesma edição do prêmio.
Outro destaque da premiação, “The End of the F***ing World”, distribuído internacionalmente pela Netflix, também levou para casa dois prêmios importantes, recebendo reconhecimento como Melhor Série de Drama, assim como Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante Dramática (Naomi Ackie).
A Netflix também emplacou a melhor atração internacional, “Olhos que Condenam” (When They See Us). Já o prêmio de Melhor Série de Comédia ficou com “Stath Lets Flats”,que superou a favorita “Fleabag”. Produção do Channel 4, a série será distribuída no resto do mundo pela HBO Max.
