A Netflix divulgou o pôster, as fotos e o trailer legendado de “High Flying Bird”, primeiro filme do cineasta Steven Soderbergh (“Onze Homens e Um Segredo” e “Magic Mike”) para streaming.
Como em seu filme anterior, “Distúrbio” (2018), o diretor usou câmeras de iPhone para realizar as gravações. Mas desta vez a opção não é tão evidente, apesar de permitir grande agilidade na movimentação das cenas.
O filme acompanha um empresário (André Holland, de “Castle Rock”) que quer subverter o modelo de negócios perpetuado pela NBA, a associação americana de basquete, e devolver o poder para os jogadores.
O roteiro é de Tarell Alvin McCraney, que venceu o Oscar por “Moonlight: Sob a Luz do Luar”, também estrelado por Holland.
O elenco ainda conta com Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2”), Zachary Quinto (“Star Trek”), Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”) e Bill Duke (“O Predador”).
A estreia está marcada para 8 de fevereiro no serviço de streaming.
