Catch-22: Minissérie produzida, dirigida e estrelada por George Clooney ganha primeiras fotos

A plataforma Hulu divulgou as primeiras fotos da minissérie “Catch-22”, produzida, dirigida e estrelada por George Clooney. As imagens destacam o elenco em trajes militares.

Clooney tem um papel pequeno para se concentrar nos outros aspectos de seu trabalho na obra. De todo modo, a produção marca seu retorno às séries, 20 anos após sua saída de “ER/Plantão Médico” em 1999.

A minissérie de seis episódios é baseada no romance pacifista “Ardil-22”, lançado em 1961 por Joseph Heller e já transformado num filme cultuadíssimo de 1970 por Mike Nichols. A adaptação foi criada pelo roteirista Luke Davies (“Lion”) e pelo cineasta David Michôd (“The Rover – A Caçada”).

Passada durante a 2ª Guerra Mundial, a trama satírica gira em torno da inconformidade de um piloto americano com o fato de a Força Aérea sempre aumentar o número de missões exigidas antes que ele possa voltar para casa. Ele descobre que a única forma de evitar essas missões é declarando insanidade, mas o único modo de provar insanidade é se propondo a aceitar as missões perigosas. Esse dilema impossível é batizado de Ardil-22.

O elenco também destaca Hugh Laurie (série “House”), Kyle Chandler (série “Bloodline”) e Christopher Abbott (“Ao Cair da Noite”), que vive o protagonista.

A data de estreia ainda não foi divulgada.

Nineteen perilous missions later, Yossarianís only hope is to meet the mission quota ñ twenty-five ñ and be sent home before heís shot down. But a new Colonel (Cathcart) takes command and immediately raises the mission quota. Yossarian realizes he has to get himself grounded or sent home by any means necessary. But American soldiers find him, and back at base he tries to be sent home on the basis of his almost-lost testicle. A young flyer, Snowden, dies on a mission, in Yossarian’s arms. Yossarian refuses to wear clothes. Naked, he accepts a medal; observes Snowden’s funeral; rejects Milo; welcomes a new recruit.
