A rede americana ABC divulgou quatro imagens e o primeiro trailer de “Whiskey Cavalier”, série de espionagem estrelada por Lauren Cohan (a Maggie de “The Walking Dead”) e Scott Foley (o Jake de “Scandal”). A prévia é repleta de ação e também divertidíssima, explorando a química eletrizante do casal. Os dois encarnam uma espécie de Sr. e Sra. Smith, rivais de diferentes agências do governo, lutando entre si para resolver o mesmo caso.
Na trama, o trabalho da dupla inspira a formação de uma equipe multi-agências, que junta os dois agentes para lidar com ameaças contra o mundo, mas a maior ameaça que precisarão enfrentar é a dificuldade de lidar um com o outro.
A comédia de ação foi criada por Dave Hemingson – que não tinha nenhum piloto aprovado desde “Kitchen Confidential” em 2005, cancelada na 1ª temporada. E além do casal protagonista, tem um ótimo elenco de apoio, com destaque para Tyler James Williams (o Chris de “Todo Mundo Odeia o Chris”, que por sinal trabalhou com Cohan em “The Walking Dead”), Ana Ortiz (das séries “Ugly Betty” e “Devious Maids”) e Vir Das (“Goa Goa Gone”).
A aprovação de “Whiskey Cavalier” significa que Lauren Cohan terá menos tempo para gravar “The Walking Dead”, o que deve diminuir sua participação na produção dos zumbis.
“Whiskey Cavalier” tem estreia prevista para a midseason, no começo de 2019, nos Estados Unidos.
