A Netflix divulgou 65 fotos e o trailer completo da 2ª temporada de “The Crown”. A prévia revela que a produção continua luxuosa, com inúmeros cenários, figurinos e recriação meticulosa de época, agora chegando nos anos 1960. A época é de grandes mudanças, o que faz com que a monarquia britânica, presa em tradições antiquadas, seja confrontada e precise mudar para se manter relevante, ao mesmo tempo em que teme novos escândalos.
Criada pelo roteirista Peter Morgan, que já havia retratado Elizabeth II com sucesso no drama “A Rainha” (2006) e na peça “The Audience”, a série traz Claire Foy (a Ana Bolena da minissérie “Wolf Hall”) como a rainha Elizabeth II, Matt Smith (série “Doctor Who”) como o príncipe Philip e Vanessa Kirby (“Como Eu Era Antes de Você”) como a princesa Margaret. Entre as novidades da nova temporada, destacam-se as participações de Matthew Goode (“O Jogo da Imitação”), que interpretará o fotógrafo Lord Snowdon, marido de Margaret entre 1960 e 1978, e de Michael C. Hall (série “Dexter”) como o presidente americano John F. Kennedy.
A premiada produção retorna com novos episódios no dia 8 de dezembro.
