A rede americana ABC divulgou cinco imagens e o trailer de “The Fix”, nova série jurídica estrelada por Robin Tunney (da série “The Mentalist”). A prévia lembra o julgamento de O.J. Simpson, acompanhando um astro negro que é acusado de homicídio duplo em Los Angeles e, em meio à atenção midiática do processo criminal, recebe o veredito de “não culpado”. Mas há uma reviravolta.
Ao perder o caso, a promotora Maya Travis (Tunney) considera sua carreira arruinada e resolve se afastar. Mas, oito anos depois, a mesma celebridade se torna o principal suspeito de outro assassinato, o que faz com que a procuradoria a procure para convencê-la a assumir o caso, com uma segunda chance de fazer justiça.
Vale observar que estre os criadores da série está Marcia Clark, promotora encarregada do caso de O.J. Simpson (vivida por Sarah Paulson em “American Crime Story”), que desenvolveu “The Fix” com Sarah Fain e Elizabeth Craft (criadoras de “Women’s Murder Club”).
Além de Robin Tunney, o elenco destaca Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (séries “Lost” e “Ten Days in the Valley”) como o astro suspeito, além de Robin Givens (“Riverdale”), Adam Rayner (“Tyrant”), Merrin Dungey (“Big Little Lies”), Breckin Meyer (“Designated Survivor”), Marc Blucas (“Underground”) e Mouzam Makkar (“The Exorcist”).
A série tem estreia prevista para a midseason, no começo de 2019, nos Estados Unidos.
